Accessibility

Built for everyone

Clap Ideas targets WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. Accessibility is a requirement, not a feature.

Our commitment

We build Clap Ideas to be usable by everyone — regardless of ability, assistive technology, or device. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our standard.

What we do

  • All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable and have visible focus indicators.
  • Screen reader support: semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and meaningful labels throughout.
  • Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA ratios in both light and dark themes.
  • Animations and motion are reduced or disabled when the user's operating system requests it.
  • Every page has a skip-to-content link at the top.
  • Images are labeled with descriptive alt text or marked as decorative.
  • Forms have visible, associated labels.

Known limitations

We are actively working to improve accessibility across all platform areas. Some features may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 AA. We prioritise fixes for issues that affect the most users.

Report an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact us. Please describe the page, the issue, and the assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and resolve blockers within 30 days.
